Now here are a list of all the Reagents you will be finding/using in Alchemy! Alchemy Reagents
KINGDOMS OF AMALUR RECKONING PC POTION RECIPE POI UPDATE
I will update the best places to farm them as time goes on but don't count on me for everything! It is important you learn these as you go and kind of remember where you need to go back to or rather what you need to go back to to find what reagents. Some plants are found only in caves, some only in grassy areas some only near water. Now, it's important you know what I mean by "everywhere", just because I say it's everywhere doesn't mean in the most literal sense. You can find this plant literally all over Amalur, it won't just be in a level 1 - 5 area or a 20 - 25 area, it is everywhere. As for the reagents you'll need, unlike many games they don't have level restrictions. As your skill increases you have a better and better chance to successfully harvest them.Īt least at the start I wouldn't worry too much about it, Detect Hidden, Lockpicking and other skills are more important to raise first if you ask me but if you plan to follow through with Alchemy it is definitely important to keep it as a close second or third. You'll see them everywhere, they're all glowy and ready to be picked, you know what I mean! Depending on your Alchemy skill you may constantly fail when harvesting reagents from around the world. If you've played the game for anymore than 5 minutes (outside of the super noobie area you start out in) you will know the plants I am talking about. For Alchemy you will find these reagents literally all over the world. So, as with all professions you require reagents to make potions. Since there are no permanent potions if you plan to rely heavily on Alchemy expect to make friends with the TAB button on your keyboard and the quick use Potions' Wheel. Regardless, Alchemy is a nice profession for anyone out there that has already done things like max their Blacksmithing (or just have the best gear/don't want Blacksmithing) and are looking to improve their character through other more temporary means.

Fate plants I think they were called? Or something of that effect. However, once you reach Alabastra you can find Essence of Fate via gathering. Now the Fate Potions require Essence of Fate to make which for the first 90% of the game can only be found on mobs you kill while in reckoning.

I of course don't have to explain how awesome immediately enter reckoning can be and how much bonus XP you would get from doing so all the time. The Fate Potions allows you to automatically fill your fate bar which allows you to enter reckoning immediately. I don't have a complete list of these potions but a main one that comes to mind is called Fate Potion. Most of the potions made through Alchemy can be purchased or found as you get higher level, unlike other professions like Blacksmithing or Sagecrafting, but there are some potions that can only be made, as you'd expect. As you probably guessed just by the name, Alchemy is used to make Potions in Kingdoms of Amalur.
